Peterhof The tour includes a visit to the Grand Palace and walk in the Lower Park. We will visit one of the most famous summer residence of Romanov Dynasty called Peterhof. It was founded by Peter the Great in the very beginning of the 18th century on the coast of the Gulf of Finland as The Russian Versaille on the Baltic Sea and is known for its palaces, parks and fountains. Peterhof is about 30 km south-west of St.-Petersburg. It'll take us about one hour and fifteen minutes to get there from the city center. On the way, we' ll see the old part of St.-Petersburg, the working class district built up in the Soviet times and the countryside, stretching along the coast of the Gulf of Finland. |
